Winter's Bone When Ree scrapes the bottom of the fridge for lunch at least his little brother and his even younger sister, she never knows what tomorrow will bring. Pending the return of a father who does not, in the absence of a passive mother has physically, but mentally and morally out, it bears only the weight of the home, quietly aided by a couple of neighbors, because here we do not beg for it, but we accept no stories what you offer, and sometimes it takes advantage of a little game, and can leave his mare take hay from its neighbors.
Bring along the path through the woods the two children to school, go chop wood, get to the lookout and watch for a few squirrels that will the next meal, form the two little ones to the art of hunting as weird as it draws to appear as young children, a matter of survival more than tradition here in this isolated region, made up of forests where a few rich farmers prosper, for the other life is a struggle, every character has: rude or boorish. For some life is still at the margin, now here is thriving thanks to methamphetamine, easy to make when you do not blow up an entire lab!
That was it fate Ree's father? This is apparently what we want to believe him because in his search for the father hustles Ree and disrupts an entire community where a slogan, almost a religion is dominant, shut up! But this kid
catchy runs in the family, this community of taciturn, tough, quick to fight it draws its origins, for one thing it is important to find his father, dead or alive to prevent the seizure of their property alone the family home, while even the latter's brother, his uncle, then, old friend of traffic father advised him to surrender before it's too late .... Debra Granik
achieves an epic rural sort of fantasia in Hicks, where the honest peasants share with narcotics traffickers and consumers, where the farmer prosperous in both the beef in the market for amphetamines!
The director uses wonderfully put wealth within his reach, so magnificent landscapes, bits of sight distressing, the tones of a bluish light filtered through the trees to give the together a surreal side. One thinks sometimes David Lynch when everything is bathed in a false stupor, portraits of an America finally escaped deep made of semi outlawed. As such, Teardrop (John Hawkes ) excels in the hyphen between his niece that he embodies and this world ... and I worrying considering Denis Hopper
... But the one that flies, outperforms all, girl intrepid Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence ) a breath of tenderness towards his little ones, brother and sister alone entrusted, and on which day it fiercely, terribly until the unthinkable (see the scene recovery ..) anything to keep custody of it, there home!
A film abrupt yet highly recommended!
Excessif.Com ".. Around her, the nature seems to have a material and spiritual strength - we must be attentive to sounds, noises, whispers . His only weapon is the unshakable faith that inspires: it has qualities of heart and a spirit of independence that he would move mountains. The actress who embodies (Jennifer Lawrence, a revelation) illuminates this world of shadows like an angel, a single candle heartland: it has a baby face but speaks like an adult. Like this paradox, the movie is both sweet and scary. .. "
CritiKat.Com "... And it's probably at this point that Winter's Bone is doing better. Eschewing sociological generalities, the film does not go beyond the specification that the director had fix: make one with the main character and follow him in his quest. But where the film runs into his big limit is that the quest itself has nothing really exciting, to a fault scenario s 'is lazily in a single stake dramatic where it would have been interesting to multiply the tracks ...."
